May be my review is that positive because I literally had zero expectations for this film and it turned to be much better than I expected. It didn’t impress me much after watching the trailers so I didn’t feel like it to be a real breakthrough. As it turned the whole film is really interesting, logical and carefully thought-over. The film starts smart and seems to be smart and wit till the end.

Both Clive Owen and Naomi Watts are amazing and highly watchable here. They look great together. It was really surprising but Armin Mueller-Stahl also added some credibility and depth to the film. I love the way they showed the world to us. The movie took us all around the globe.

The title of the movie really justifies itself, because the film is a real soy, intriguing and international thriller that isn’t predictable and highly entertaining.

Angels & Demons is a thriller come adaptation movie directed by none other than Ron Howard. As far as the star cast of this movie is considered, it has all the big names like Tom Hanks, Ewan McGregor, Stellan Skarsgard, Ayelet Zurer, Pierfrancesco Favino, Nikolaj Lie Kaas and Armin Mueller Stahl.

Angels & Demons is a movie about Symbologist Robert Langdon, who finds himself again in the ancient roots. Watch out for the most powerful underground organization in the history while watching this thriller movie. Watch how Langdon faces a deadly threat by the Catholic Church in this upcoming Hollywood movie.

PROS:

• visual effects were top notch and really stunning. My beloved part is birth of Sandman. Frankly speaking, I can’t think of any other effect that can be that nice and entertaining. Also I liked the whole fight scenes, they were simply terrific;
• humour scenes were incredible and unexpectedly hilarious. I burst into laughter while enjoying Peter dancing;
• the first battle scene Sandman vs Spidey – nice and mind-blowing;
• acting was exemplary and very convincing – I really loved the whole scenes;

My CONS are much more impressive and the list is a big longer:

• the movie lacks its main characters’ development and most characters even lack depth;
• the costumes were really ridiculous. This time even Spidey wasn’t alive, I mean he looked like a doll and not like a living organism;
• some music parts were awful and this music even managed to kill the scene;
• the movie is full of details it just seemed to me that the authors tried their best to squeeze too much into one film – they simply failed to outline the main ideas.

To my mind the movie will suit only heavy fans who love any movie about Spidey as it is!

Butterfly Effect: Revelation is a surprisingly thrilling movie especially after the previous mediocre and shallow parts. Sam is in the center of the narration and like in the previous movies, he can travel back in time and sometimes even change the past.

However, he uses his abilities not only to find the clue to his own questions, he helps the FBI to catch killers. This time Sam is capable of travelling back to ANY moment in the past, without any special pictures or photos.

The movie is logical and coherent and it really lacks any plot holes, so it offers a catching story, well-written characters and amazing acting. The movie keeps you in suspense since it offers a lot of thrilling moments, especially in the last half hour.

Frankly speaking, I can’t but mention that the plot is somehow predictable if you are a rather attentive viewer. What is more, I love the dialogues in the movie – this time they were even smart and wit, the humour was present as well.

To put it short, I highly recommend you to enjoy the movie especially if you are a fan of the original. The movie is different and fresh and comes with a number of new and  unexpected elements.

The movie boasts a very complicated and intricate plot … It is about corporate espionage, money and people relations. Julia Roberts and Clive Owen are high-profile business spies and they love each other, however throughout the whole movie we don’t know whether they cheat each other or not. The movie keeps you in suspense and you definitely won’t leave a cinema with a sigh of relief.

I love the scenes taken all around the globe. Multi continent travels (London, Rome, New York, Dubai and Geneva) are really mind-blowing, there are numerous plot twists in the movie, the music fits perfectly. But to my mind it is Julia Roberts who saved the movie and made people watch it.

I am really glad to see her in action again. Frankly speaking, I thought her comeback would be huge, but this movie is simply too mediocre for a such a star. Sometimes namely the good chemistry between Julia and Owen and their dazzling dialogues made me watch the film. Julia has lost none of her powers and she is still charming and attractive.

My own opinion – the movie is nice and enjoyable, but not great, it won’t get any Oscars and awards, but it is rather smart and intelligent – a pretty one to enjoy while with friends or in a family circle. And one more point – it is too long.

As far as you understand the plot is something really engaging and catching (although I can’t agree more – Hitchcock’s version was much better). The  movie can be named a low-budget and cheap copycat of the abovementioned one but I love the story that was told and the way the director showed some special circumstances of the new century.

Everyone is a suspect and Ondaatje knows what he is doing because the movie is really fast speed, and adventurous. It seems to me that there are two completely different storylines in the movie and till the end of it we don’t know what to think whether a tenant is a serial killer involved in multiple killings in the West Hollywood area of Los Angeles or not and it is just a ridiculous coincidence. The movie is really dark and most of settings were shot in the downtown Los Angeles area.

The film is not something spectacular and unique, it won’t touch you to the quick or provoke any emotions (apart from fear and interest) in you but it is a great time-passer and it is definitely worth seeing if you’re looking for an entertaining mystery-thriller, or if you can name yourself a great fan of Jack the Ripper. I highly recommend you to enjoy it in theatres but the DVD version is not bad as well.

The movie got a lot of negative reviews, but I don’t think that they are fair, at least most of them. The main aim of the Night Train movie is to thrill and keep us in suspense all film long and what? This movie perfectly copes with this task. The first 45 minutes seem to be a bit dull but then … the plot turns to be amazing and very entertaining.

The performance of actors is something unbelievable, they make this movie worth watching and mentioning. They really made a fantastic job. 

And by the way, the ending is completely unpredictable )))

I love such movies as Charlie Wilson’s War since they are not only about gun-running and shooting as well as real VIP’s featuring (Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, and Philip Seymour), but because they are real. They are all things entertainment, sadness and their amazing combination. While watching it you will both cry and laugh and it will look completely natural, since the world is not a Disney product.

The movie is a great and very successful adaptation of George Crile’s 2003 best seller and is is full of blistering jokes, unspoken moments, excellent performance, thought-provoking dialogues … I love Phillip Seymour Hoffman, since I can’t think of any other actor or scenery, actually, about anything else, when he is on the screen. He plays a role of ultra-smart CIA manipulator, and his dialogues with Hanks are mind-blowing.

One more thing I like about this movie – it is not long, and you can easily enjoy only a breath-taking 90 odd minutes of great story.

The movie is perfectly made and it contains a healthy dose of actions and laughs, it is entertaining and exciting and it won’t make you feel boring.

I like the interaction between the main heroes – they are really fantastic and the acting is much better than expected.

I am ready to ensure you, it is not just a movie, it is a masterpiece. I even can’t explain you what I liked the most, everything was perfect: atmosphere, music, action and acting … Brilliant. The movie keeps in suspense since the first phrase.

But I think our special thanks must go to a great actor who is not with us anymore – Heath Ledger, his Joker is beyond any praises. This Joker is the best, he is powerful and villainous, hypnotic and terrifying, insane and smart. This character makes your blood run cold. I am sure that he deserves posthumous Oscar.

This movie has nothing in common with those funny comics adaptations. The Dark Knight is a very realistic one, lack of numerous fantasy-like moments and story-lines. All characters are very deep, there are dialogues for all actors, all of them have their own moments of fame.

Than, I cannot but mention the Nolans, people who wrote and directed this movie. You are really talented!!! I can’t find the right words to describe my admiration and gratitude – these 2 hrs 32 min were spent right ))) 

This movie can be named the best movie of the year!!!
