The movie turned to be completely hilarious and really exciting, you will never leave a cinema with a blah feeling after watching it. Dear fans of the trilogy, please, be adequate and reasonable, because it is really impossible to convert a near 600 page book into a 1:45 movie and not to miss some minor details. Inkheart tells the story of Meggie and Mo Folchart. Do you still remember it? That’s great. Anyway, the movie is completely coherent.

I love Eliza Bennett as Meggie and my absolute favourite in the film is Bettany, because he was absolutely incredible and brilliant as Dustfinger! His play was exemplary and I can’t think of any other actor performing this role better than he did. It goes without saying that he was the star of the show. I love everything about him: emotions (because they were true), facial expressions, and even voice.

One more thing I would like to mention – the settings and effects!!! Absolutely gorgeous and mind-blowing. I highly recommend to watch this movie!!!

Well, this is my first post on moviescomments.com. Hope you guys like my style and choice. The Dark Crystal is an amazing piece of creation. This is an award winning movie.

The story takes us to another planet some thousand years ago. One of the Urskeks damages the Dark Crystal and an era of anarchy starts expanding its wings.

The evil monstrous appearing lizards bearing some traits of birds are seen ruling the planet with an iron claw. Meanwhile, the peace loving race of wizards known as Mystics gets worried as the time of the Great conjunction of the three suns is drawing closer. As per the prophecy the world must restore order and peace. The wisest man from the Mystics is on death bed.

The hero of the movie, Jen, an orphan, the last of the Gelflings, ventures on to find out the missing shard of the Dark Crystal.

I will maintain the suspense here. Watch out the movie to know what is the significance of the Dark Crystal and does Jen succeed in his adventure. If you love animation and adventure, you will like the movie for sure.

What about my own impressions after The Golden Compass ?

They are quite ambiguous: from the one hand, acting was really incredible (Nicole Kidman is flawless here and Eva Green description of Dust and other world is brilliant), fascinating and good, some scenes grabbed my attention: for example, Ice Bear fighting, but on the other hand, without having profound knowledge what it is all about, you’ll hardly understand the movie. So, either read before watching or strictly follow the plot line. But, the movie was worth my attention and now I feel ashamed being cynical about it. So, watch it!!!

First of all, let’s find out more about the history: The Seeker: Dark is Rising is a new film version of the popular Susan Cooper fantasy-books.

As to the plot: the story is about Will Stanton, a young guy who suddenly finds out, that he is the last among a group of warriors. These warriors devoted their lives to the fight with Dark Forces. During the all film Will is travelling through time, moreover, he finds a series of hints and finally realizes that the world is in his hands, because the dark is rising and attacking…

Actually, the film has already released in the USA and has rather gloomy references. First of all, the audience of the movie is  youngsters (only they can not mention the all noncoincidences of the movie), also, dialogues are plain and stupid, there is no tension in the movie, it is impossible to sit in front of the TV and to leave all your deals because of it. The movie is plain and seems to have no meaning at all. But, there is one good point about it – adults can let children (under 10 of course) to view it free.
