In spite of that fact that my morbid imagination adores all these logical conundrums & quests I leaved cinema hall with dilated eyes and absolutely empty mind. Besides, as it seemed rest of people was in the same trance. I was sitting at the last line, from time to time, after 30 minutes from the beginning I’ve seen how young, glamorous, ladies leaved their places with unglamorous words)))

I am sure if you’d ask somebody who has seen Empire about the plot of the film (like “what about this film”?) you will not get an answer. Caz nobody knows. Even David Lynch…I think)

Film lasts for THREE hours, and some scenes are really awesome. A middle-aged actress absolutely lost in her real life perception and she cannot think apart from her screen heroine. Author shows us at least three lines of possible actions. As I understood – all events happen mostly inside of actress’s exhausted mind and each of us will definitely find something, telling about himself only. I also do not recommend see it late evening ) just believe…

There were everything: Polish Gipsies, terrible dreams, walking on dark loooong corridors withing eerie sounds, whores, horses, big rabbits & red abat-jours (which Lynch loves from Twin Peaks..) and all this unbelievable chaos turned to a masterpiece.

p.s. half of the night I discussed this “film about nothing” with my friend and we’ve found three visions of what HE did want to tell…
