One More Duplicity (2009) with Julia Roberts

Duplicity is a new adventurous movie featuring Julia Roberts and Clive Owen. I’ve just watched it for the second time and I have some more ideas to share with you. The film was announced to be a huge come back of Julia Roberts, however, it is, but not a very huge one. Frankly speaking, I think everything is great in the movie: twisted and sophisticated plot, amazing sceneries and landscapes, great cast … but the only one minus is … actually … performance. It was poor and not believable at all. And I even can’t understand why, Julia has always been a star and a very talented actress and I am not ready to dismiss her. That’s all with the disadvantages, so far I think this movie is possibly the best film I’ve seen this year.

I see, it is a general practice – to write either completely negative or completely positive reviews about new and really nice and exciting movies. I would like to tell that you have to believe none of them because all such comments are gross exaggerations. As to me the movie is one of the best I’ve ever seen – Transformers is a glorified and one of the hottest summer blockbuster and it perfectly fulfills its main aim – to entertain people and put smile on their faces.

Terminator Salvation 2009

The movie is not very bad but to my mind it is the worst from Terminators. It seems to be very shallow and simple and even poorly written. May be we are fed up with Terminators or there have been too much of movies like this. Well, I will start by saying that TS is completely different from the previous movies. The first movie was thrilling and amazing and one of the kind, the second one boasted a very unusual and twisted plot, the main part of the third film was Kate Connor character. And the fourth one is not like Transformers series at all.

Before sharing with you my thoughts about the following movie I would like you to have not very high expectations before watching it because it won’t satisfy them. The movie is great only if you look for spectacular visuals and not amazing plot. First of all X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a story of Wolverine’s epically violent and romantic past and his relations with Victor Creed, and the Weapon X program. However, his extremely violent past turns to be not violent at all. That is the first disadvantage and you will feel it everywhere, I mean it.
