The trailer says “My city screams. She is my lover. And I am her spirit.” This instils an urge to know what this spirit will do. Who is the Spirit? How can a human being become a lover to a spirit?

Written and directed by Frank Miller, renowned comic book writer, the movie is most awaited adaptation of the comic book. Frank Miller, as we know has already contributed Watchmen and Sin City. This movie of his, alike the other movies, seems to create sensation.

Second tag line of the movie “Down these mean streets a man must come. A hero born, murdered, and born again.” This gives an impression that the hero will reappear after death and do some heroic deed.

Now, lets us talk about story line straightaway. The Rookie cop named Denny Colt (played by Gabriel Macht), escapes death and returns as The Spirit. He becomes the Hero of the city. He has a mission to wage a war against the evil forces in the city. To find out who these villains are and what our hero does, we need to wait till 2009, when the movie will reach theatres.
