I was dying to enjoy The Day the Earth Stood Still movie. I put all my deals aside and watched it and it was the biggest disappointment of this December. The movie is completely boring and some of its moments are really stupid. It has nothing that either thrills or catches, it is plain and leaves nothing but a sad feeling after watching.
It lasts almost 2 hours and literally nothing happens and nothing is left to imagination. There is nothing to enjoy in the film but for Keanu Reeves, he was brilliant as usual.
Frankly speaking I love Cloverfield movie much more since it has something to show and it draws you in and while watching it you seem to be a part of it. It is Cloverfield that brought back a sense of great sci-fi movies to me.
So instead of watching The Day you’d better enjoy Cloverfield!!!

I’m sorry but Cloverfield is the absolute worst movie I have ever seen! The plot is absurd (unseen monster terrorizes NYC), the characters do nothing but run away (good judgement but highly predictable) and everyone is killed in the end. That is it! No twists, no turns, no suspense…no good destruction! To recreate this movie for yourself just strap a movie camera on the family dog and send him/her running around the yard! No kidding…that is it! Advice; if you must see it, drink heavily and sleep through it!
