Ace is back again in Ace Ventura Jr: Pet Detective, the third of the Ace Ventura series. Beautifully executed by director David Mickey Evans, Ace Ventura Jr is one of the most awaited movies of 2008. The comedy features Ace, who has returned to Florida after his adventure in Africa (Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls), married to his girlfriend Melissa and became the father of a worthy (!) son.

Before long, Ace leaves for a remote place to attend to another adventure and never shows up again. Melissa, now working as a zookeeper and her son begins to live the life a single mom with her son, Ace Jr (Josh Flitter). However, much to the disappointment of his mother, Ace Jr., following the footsteps of his father has become a pet detective, often engaged in helping his 7th grade friends in recovering their pets (obviously ending up with disasters).

The twist comes into play when his mother is convicted in a wrong case of a missing panda actually abducted by a mastermind animal thief. Now, Ace Jr. teams up with pals Laura and tech wizard A-plus to bring the thief to book and also save his mother as well as do justice to the memory and legends of his beloved father.
