Do you still remember one of the most talked about shows of all times? I am talking about “Dead Like Me” that tells a story of a really unhappy girl who was once hit by a toilet seat and found herself dead … That is how everything has started. And know we are welcome to enjoy a new movie about completely the same problems.
To my mind, the movies is good, even much better than a lot of people expect, but it is not excellent. There are definitely a lot of show aspects in the movie and it brings back its magic but … there are some pros and cons of the movie, would you like to find more about them?
PROS:
- acting was exemplary – love it. They DO looked and sounded they way we were expecting them to look and sound;
- Georgia was brilliant and her dialogues were not as evil and sarcastic as in the show;
- there was some uncertainty in the end of the movie, and it seemed to me the movie would make a huge come back one day;
- the supporting cast was really great;
- Reggie (Britt McKillip) got a lot of screen time and she was like a gasp of fresh air.
CONS:
- do you still remember that reapers don’t change in the course of time? It was really hard to believe in this when enjoying a matured Georgia looking at you;
- voice of Georgia Lass was bit awkward in the starting scenes;
- the new “boss” Cameron Kane was a complete failure and I really missed Rube’s character;
- sometimes the movie seems to be a disjointed set of events and ideas lacking any ideas and cohesion as well.
Not the best version but still watch it!
