Of course, the movie is that great not only because of visuals and touching plot but because we have Adam Sandler here. He is amazing, so funny and completely believable. This is a funny and natural movie with a good heart. Sandler is a loser with a heart of gold and during the movie he finds his real love. The direction is light and fun, so the movie is highly entertaining. The movie is packed with romance, friendship, fulfillment of promises and a happy end, of course. Sandler turns to be a real hero.

I love the kids here – their played their roles in the best way possible. The movie is rather long but not boring at all, since it is very fast paced, quick and engaging. There are a couple of generations in the movie and all of them are centered around one hotel, that changes their loves and opens new horizons.

The most interesting part is a big-eyed guinea pig – it is such a cute animal to enjoy! Love the movie!

This time the whole story is focused on Lucian and it is really amazing because the character is deep, good and very interesting. To my mind, Michael Sheen’s acting was not flawless and sometimes even a bit mediocre. I like Rhona Mitra – she both looked and acted great. This story is more about real and nice feelings, it is very emotional and even a bit tragic. One more point I would like to mention: the storyline was very faithful to the material.

Overall, the movie is not bad and I really enjoyed it but I still would like to name you my pros and cons:

Advantages:

• the storyline is amazing. It is not only catching but true and appropriate;
• acting is more than convincing and true. It is even emotional is some way;
• the special effects are mind-blowing and very realistic;
• the movie looks like a classic one;
• the tone of the movie really rocks.

Let’s call it a day with positive elements and turn our attention to negative.

Disadvantages:

• some sceneries are not good at all, for example, the castle looks too small and even awkward;
• the war looked more as a single short fighting;
• I was expecting costumes to be more festive and lavish.

To put it short, I really enjoyed the movie, and it is definitely worth the money and time.

Scripted by David Lindsay, Cornelia Funke and Gary David Goldberg, Inkheart has an impressive starcast of Brenden Fraserm Eliza Bennett, Helen Mirren, Paul Bettany, Jim Broadbent and Andy Serkis. The movie starts well and for about first 89 minutes, the pace is solid and the visuals are appealing.

Inkheart in itself is a rare book and this lies same for the movie. It is a story of Mortimer or Mo and his 12-year-old daughter, Meggie. They both like sharing books and bringing out characters from the books in life. The fantasy revolves around the fact that whenever a character is taken out of a book, a real person from the real life disappears into the book’s pages.

Based on some 100 reviews, Inkheart got about 40 positive reviews and 60 negative reviews. Some found the concept weird in this movie, while some got amazed watching this movie and its fantasy world. During its opening day itself, the movie grosses $2,110,000 in 2,655 theaters across the US.

Overall, Inkheart is a movie that will be enjoyed by children of a certain age. Children who like discovering new adventures will surely love to see this movie.

What can be better during Christmas holidays than a touching family movie offering top notch animation? For example, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. The following movie was directed by Andrew Adamson (“Shrek”) and it can be literally named one of the best fantasy films of all time.

Frankly speaking I worried a bit since the movie is based on the worst books in the series (sorry for hurting your feelings, tastes differ). They could have chosen a better book, but … what’s done can’t be undone. But the movie was really charming, kids, the Lion and the Witch – everything is great, visual effects are beyond any disputes, magnificent. 

It is exactly the movie to enjoy during long and cold Christmas evenings! Merry Christmas, dears!
