One day, Horton the elephant (very very great and kind elephant with the voice of Jim Carey), hears a cry coming from a speck of dust. Horton catches the speck on a flower and starts talking to it. As it turns out, there is a city of Whoville on the speck and a lot of creatures live there.
And these creatures can’t imagine that there is something bigger than their world. Actually, the same situation happens with Horton neighbours, they refuse to believe that anything could survive on the speck. But Horton is a very kind elephant so he makes his mind to safe Whoville, ’cause one of his main guidelines sounds “After all, a person is a person, no matter how small.”
General Impressions
This movie is a real rave of colour, amazing animation and incredible voices selection. I enjoyed it from start to finish! I guess, many people will say that this movie is too sweet and warm, than, guys, you have confused the genres, if you were expecting black humour and tons of blood in the children animation movie, I beg you a pardon, it is full of nice characters and lovely scenes.
The movie is faithful, fascinating and touching, the best adaptation of a Children’s Classic.
Highly recommended!
